For the past 45 years, WSPA has lived by the core values of professionalism and excellence. These enduring values guide us as we face the difficult challenge of responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19), which the World Health Organization (“WHO”) declared a pandemic on Wednesday. In light of these recent global events and the direct impact we are experiencing here in Washington State, WSPA leadership is monitoring developments related to COVID-19 and its possible impact on members, operations, and events. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities and government employees who are on the front line working to contain COVID-19.

WSPA has been working hard to create events for paralegals promoting our profession and to provide forums that address our needs, interests and responsibilities in the State of Washington. However, given current health related advisories, all in-person events before May 2020 have been cancelled.  Barring any new developments, the Annual meeting scheduled for June will proceed as planned.

At this time, WSPA is holding all Board meetings virtually in furtherance of social distancing mandates and to prioritize personal health and safety.  WSPA encourages its members to do the same and to stay up to date on the recommendations from your local county officials, including your county’s Public Health Department.  We will prioritize communicating any changes that affect our membership or operations
