In addition to geographical Chapters, WSPA has begun offering
Sections, based on practice areas or special practice methods rather
than geographical area. These Sections will hold seminars, social
events, or networking occasions as the members of the section desire.
They will generally be open to the entire, statewide membership,
but events are likely to be held in the location where the section
members are most active. If that results in multiple locations all
the better.
Our first working Section is the Electronic
Litigation Section, based on the previous E¬Paralegals Group.
Some others which have been proposed are Criminal, Business, Real Property,
Probate & Trust, Intellectual Property, Family Law, Immigration,
Environmental, Administrative, Employment, and Bankruptcy. The formation
of any sections is entirely dependent upon the interest of WSPA members,
and their willingness to volunteer to make it work. There are no requirements
for sections, but this may be the best way for you to get some real
value from your WSPA membership.
If you are interested in joining an existing section, go the the List
Serves page and join the appropriate list serve. If you are interested
