Military Paralegal Outreach Coordinator

Melissa Edlund is a paralegal with the Cowan Smith Kirk Gaston law firm, specializing in DUI defense.   She also contracts with the King County Superior Court as a court monitor for the Partnership for Youth Justice program dealing with juvenile offenders.   Prior to working in private practice, she was a paralegal with the King County Prosecutor’s Office in the District Court Unit.  She also was a court clerk with King County District Court, Issaquah Division for over 7 years. 

Melissa graduated in 1992 from Seattle University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice.  In 1994 she received her paralegal certification through the National Academy for Paralegal Studies.
